Today the EU published an update to the EU sanctions in relation to Syria.
Today the Eu published the 16th package of sanctions in reaction to the invasion of the Ukraine by the Russian federation. We have noticed that beside some new measures, also the exportbans, importbans, transit bans en no-Russia/No-Belarus clauses have changed as several goods annexes with HS codes were replaced.
When you are a US person or are subject to US sanctions, if you have blocked and reported property due to mistaken identity or typographical or similar errors, you may unblock such property and file an unblocking report with OFAC consistent with the procedures described in 31 CFR 501.603(b)(3).
On October 9th, 2024 the EU published NEW sanctions in relation to persons, entities and bodies responsible for, implementing, or supporting actions or policies by the Government of the Russian Federation which undermine or threaten the fundamental values of the Union and its security, independence and integrity, as well as the stability, security or independence of its Member States, of international organisations or of third countries, or the sovereignty of Member States or third countries. Even though there are no names listed who are subject to these sanctions yet, we expect this to happen soon.
